INCREASE PC PERFORMANCE WITH PROPER AIR FLOW TECH

Like all electronic gadgets, a computer also has components that get heated up when used, like the CPU, graphics card, chips set or RAM. These components tend to get heated up and when not controlled appropriately would shorten the life as well as the performance of the gadget.

In order to keep the internal temperature in check, case fans are installed in computers.

How do case fans work?

The main function of case fans is to dissipate the increased amount of heat inside the computer. So that the temperatures inside do not heat up and the gadget is used to its fullest potential. There are three different types of case fans used:

Device fans: these fans are installed on top of heat generating components so that the temperature of the complete unit does not rise up.

Intake Fans: the main function of these fans is to flow in the cool and fresh air so that the temperature lowers substantially. These intake fans almost always come along with filters so that dust particles are filtered before the air enters the PC.

Exhaust fans: these fans function by pulling out heated air from inside the PC.

One of the best and commonly used technologies is to have a combination of intake fans and exhaust fans.

The positive vs. negative pressure in PC is two situations where intake and exhaust fans are used in combination. When the intake fan is high powered and the exhaust fan is comparatively lower powered. This causes a positive flow of air inside the PC.

The PC is said to have a negative flow of air when the reverse action is done, that is when the intake fan is low powered and the exhaust fan is high powered.

Benefits of case fans:

It helps increase the efficiency of the computer. Also helps in extending its life. The lowered temperatures also prevent the PC from getting overheated and further damaged. It also allows the use of parts that are far more sophisticated.
